Historic Pubcrawl Map Underway!
During
the Revolutionary War and the early days of the founding of
our country, taverns played an important part in the evolution
of our country. Not only was it a place to get
the latest information, or grab a pint. If you didn't go to church,
it was the only place to find out what was going on. Remember,
no phone, no daily newspaper, no internet!
Ready to see how many
of these historic gin mills, speak easy's, and taverns of the
Revolution you've visited? (or would like to visit)...now's your
chance. Come help us map all of these historic taverns, inns,
gin mills, and the places that set the scene for America to prosper!
The only criteria to post to the map, is the location has to
be at least 100 years old - that's it. It doesn't even have to
be standing anymore (so long as you have information on where
the historic place was.
Here's what we plan to do with
the information...
Once we reach critical mass, we'll
begin posting pub crawls, you know, those events were you get
a certain amount of time along with a series of clues and you
need to complete the tour. It's great fun, and you'll learn some
history for sure. Guaranteed! |

We're
going to start gathering names of these old taverns and build
a list that will be used at a later time to create a Historic
Pub crawl tour for adults. Yep that's right....then let's see
how many you can visit!
